About this property

Beach Bungalows in Front of a Long Point Break
The Saladita Bungalows de Blanca are a great choice for the budget minded surfer or traveler looking for a long-term stay option in Saladita. Blanca is currently building two more bungalows which will be ready as of December 26th, and she's also added air conditioning, hot water and WiFi to all her units. New photos coming soon!

You'll have your choice between four different beach front bungalows. There are three one room beach bungalows—one bungalow has two full size beds, and the others have one king size bed (these latter units are brand new). The fourth beach bungalow that has two rooms (2 full size beds in each room).

Each bungalow has it's own kitchen and private bath as well as covered porch with table and chairs. You can cook your own meals while you sit back and watch the surfers glide by on Saladita's long left-hand wave.  All rooms have A/C, as well as fans and mosquito netting over the beds to keep off the bugs.

The bungalows are just a few steps away from the sand as well as Lourdes' Place restaurant and grill. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is served there as well as drinks, smoothies and snacks. You can rent surfboards by the day, week or month and use the internet as you hang out and talk with the other surfers hanging out.

Breaks Surfed: Salidita, El Rancho
Favorite Break: El Rancho
Wave/Swell Conditions: waist to head high

Thoughts I want to pass on:

The 2 room bungalow was sweet but the service ( cleaning, lack ofdrinking water, lack of TP, lack of cookware and dishes) was not. We made due but at $70 a night you should have enough dishes to cook for 3. We also couldn't lock one of the rooms when we were out. We'll be back for sure and felt a spiritual connection to the place and people but would love to see Blanca put a bit more effort into the bungalow.

Really fun left point break right infront of the bungalow, great location on the beach. Board rentals are available at lourdes bar & grill right next door and at house of waves beside the bar. The bungalow had 2 queen beds and was fairly spacious for 3 people. There is a flush toilet, sink, mini fridge, and a small kitchen with a hot plate to make meals. The nearby town los llanos has a couple small corner stores and there are some restaurants within walking distance of the bungalow. You can cab from the airport and pretty much only have to bring a towel and board shorts!

The waves weren't huge but really fun and was a good experience surfing my first point break. Lourdes was really cool to ask for advice/directions and I would say she has the best fish tacos on the beach! I'll definitely come back and hopefully check out The Ranch next time.
