About this property
The Sandpiper and Seagull are two, twin cottages, located on the north end of Sauble Beach, Ontario. Built in1937, the cottages exemplify simplicity and are rooted in the earliest traditions of cottaging in Ontario.
Holidaying at Sandpiper and Seagull cottages has continued since their beginning in the late 30′s. We are pleased to continue the tradition of opening the cottages for rentals and to share this beautiful site on the eastern shore of Lake Huron.
In June 2006, Kimberley Noble, a returning guest of the Sandpiper and Seagull cottages wrote an article entitled, “life’s a beach” for Cottage Life Magazine. In that article, she shares the magic of the cottages, North Sauble, and what it has meant to her and her family over the years.The cottages hold a special place in the memories of families who have been cottaging here for generations. It is our ambition to continue with those traditions and provide a consistent summer cottage experience for families to return to, year after year.
The beautiful sandy Sauble Beach (voted number one in Ontario!) across from the cottages is great for summer time SUP (stand up paddling) and the occasional Longboard session when the waves are breaking. SUP in the open bay or flatwater paddle up the Sauble River to the beautful Sauble Falls.

Surf
This property is located near Sauble Beach North. A beautiful beach on Lake Huron. As for surf, there are waves here but remember, it's a lake, don't expect great conditions. With a good attitude and some wind swell you may have some fun beach break surf. A longboard or SUP will serve you best. Summer water temps warm up enough to wear just your trunks. Winter temps... you'd better be tough.
