The Break

Iztapa is a powerful and barreling long right river mouth break. The wave breaks between two jetties across the entrance to the river mouth. There are beginner-friendly waves inside the river mouth. Shortboards and funboards are best here. Consistency is year-round.

About the Access

Access is from the edge of the mangrove; the beach can be reached by boat, kayak or stand-up paddle. Boat drop-offs can be easily arranged.
