Punta Mita is located on the north end of Banderas Bay in Nayarit, Mexico. The warm water and the variety of breaks make it the perfect destination for surfers at any skill level. While there are plenty of beaches, they are privately accessed. El Anclote Beach is publicly accessed. The area consists of luxury resorts, residential developments, and golf courses, making it one of the most exclusive resort communities in Mexico.
Also known as Punta Burros. Burros is an excellent right point reef break. The main peak at Burros is a fast rippable right with a short left. It has enough power so that shortboarders can rip it, yet is forgiving enough to be tons of fun on a longboard too. Another peak closer to the beach will have good lefts and the occasional fast right. Burros is known to hold any size swell as well as be a wave magnet when other spots aren't breaking. This is a classic Punta Mita surf spot. Consistency is year-round with the best condition in summer.
About the Access
