The Break

El Mojon is a punchy normal right point break. It's a remote and lesser known break with very few lodging accommodations available—well worth the detour or breakaway from more popular spots. Shortboards and bodyboards are best here. Consistency is year-round with the biggest swells in the spring and summer.

The Area

Copalita is a secluded little town in Oaxaca, Mexico. This is an ideal place to decompress, surf empty waves, and connect with the ocean. With very little development, few eateries and only shops offering basics, all supplies are best brought in. Banks, hospitals, and artisanal markets can be found in the nearby town of La Crucecita.
