The Blue Room
The Blue Room has a queen size cedar bed, carved cedar nightstands, and blue tiled private bath it is located to one side in the central commons of the first floor of the villa facing the ocean. The accommodations folkloric decor is themed to blue tones and has space for a second bed. Fully screened and air conditioned with curtained sliders and wood shutters for privacy.
The Green Room
The Green Room has a queen size cedar bed, carved cedar night stands, and green tiled private bath it is located to one side in the central commons of the first floor of the villa facing the ocean in between the Rose Suite and the Blue Room. The accommodations folkloric decor is themed to green tones and has space for a second bed. Fully screened and air conditioned with curtained sliders and wood shutters for privacy.
Casa Delfin Sonriente is a beautiful bed and breakfast and rental villa in Troncones near Ixtapa on Mexico's spectacular Pacific Coast. The longtime owner has a vast knowledge of the Troncones area surf breaks and can easily steer you to the best spots. The B&B style accommodations have a comfortable at home feel and provide an ideal getaway for families, couples, or even a girls' getaway. When you need a break from surfing the area's great waves you'll find games galore at the house including bocci ball, a poker table, board games and more. On the beach in front of the house you can gallop along the shore on horses available for rent, explore nearby caves, hike through the jungle or try some of the wonderful fishing just right off shore.
The oceanfront Casa Delfin Sonriente (House of the Smiling Dolphin) is located about 15 miles north of Ixtapa and features squeaky-clean rooms, a refreshing pool and a complimentary breakfast. Proprietor Glen Novey (a contractor from Santa Cruz) will put you on the right break for the day, frequently joining in for the go-out. Accommodations range from $65 a day and up, reservations are a must. Be sure to reserve an air-conditioned Suburban and yes, all the point breaks have fresh lobster and cold beer joints right at the paddle-out spots.
Just fifteen miles from the luxurious resorts of Ixtapa and the yachters' paradise of Zihuatanejo, the quiet village of Troncones feels like a different era. The village is home to about 250 people who farm and fish, as well as a sprinkling of foreigners who have come to Troncones and found the tranquil beauty impossible to leave.
Also known as Troncones South. Troncones is a powerful and barreling normal to long A-frame reef break. This 5 kilometer stretch of beaches offers several breaks for intermediate surfers and some that are beginner-friendly. The area is very rocky with multiple outcroppings along the beach; local knowledge here is key to finding the best peaks along the coast. Shortboards, funboards, and bodyboards are all good here. Consistency is year-round with the best conditions in summer.
