This place is cool!
Situated at a prime location on Faria Beach, our family has been creating memories in this California Classic beach “cabin” for over 75 years. Completely and lovingly refurbished, continually updated and tastefully decorated to maintain its character and charm, this 3 bedroom, 2-1/2 bath oceanfront home also has every amenity to make your stay comfortable. Perfect for families, getaways, surf, kayak and SUP vacations, romantic escapes and retreats.
From the kitchen, living room, dining area, master “state room” and expansive deck, enjoy views of the Channel Islands or catch a glimpse of a pod of dolphins cruising along the surf. This is a beachfront property. Literally no more than a dozen steps from the deck down to the beach. Great location for surfing, stand up paddle boarding, boogie boarding, kayaking, swimming, fishing and tide-pooling. A few steps (or strokes) to the south is Mondo’s Cove, rated one of California’s best spots for beginner and longboard surfing and a favorite location for surf schools. Pitas Point, a few steps to the north, offers more challenging rides. The coastal bike path sits just outside our entrance gate, and access is provided to the private community tennis court. Our home is located directly in the center of the main strip of Faria Beach. You will not be bothered by beach goer parking or public access users.
Sleeps Eight. Master has queen bed with bath en-suite. Second bedroom has two twins with a half bath en-suite. Cow-a-Bunk-a Room has two sets of bunks (4 twins). These are sturdy custom bunks with custom mattresses.
Faria Beach is a private residential beach community located at the center of a seven mile stretch of Old Pacific Coast Highway on the Rincon, gateway to the Central Coast. Changing sand levels and tides, along with the seasons, create a dynamic beachscape. High tides can be thrilling, while low tides travel sand bars and tide pools waiting to be explored.
A five minute drive to the south is Ventura, where you’ll find unique dining, shopping and entertainment in trendy downtown. Foodies will love it, and there is a bustling music scene along with several breweries and wine-bars. The Ventura Harbor also offers shopping and dining along with opportunities to sign up for Channel Islands, whale watching or fishing excursions. Fifteen minutes to the north is Santa Barbara, and just beyond are the spectacular wine regions of Santa Ynez, Santa Maria and Los Olivos. The artists’ enclave of Ojai is 15 minutes inland. There you’ll find destination spas, golf resorts, and of course more wineries ;)
Mondos is a mellow and crumbly, long beach break going left and right. Longboards, funboards, and SUPs are all good here. Consistency is year-round with mainly winter swells.
