The Property
La Puesta del Sol is a friendly and relaxed beachfront guest inn offering three comfortable suites and rooms. We are located at Playa Troncones near the town of Zihuatanejo and the resort destination Ixtapa on the Costa Grande of the state of Guerrero in Mexico. Zihuatanejo is serviced by an International Airport (ZIH) with daily flights.
Because we are right on the beach guests enjoy fantastic sunsets (hence our name) as well as the sights and sounds of the vast blue Pacific Ocean. Dolphins and pelicans are a common sight, and depending on the time of year guests may also see whales passing by and sea turtles laying their eggs in the sandy beach.
The coastal village of Troncones is a nature lovers' paradise where time seems to stand still and the modern world loses significance. Troncones is a world-renowned surf destination with many excellent breaks in town and many more just a short distance away.

Oceanfront Suite
Ocean side on the ground floor of the main home we have our Oceanfront Suite with a small tiled kitchen, private bath, ceiling fans and an ocean view patio with a hammock. The room is split level and very large with a king size and twin bed. It can sleep 3 people. Optional A/C available at $100 pesos per day. The Garden Suite and the Oceanfront Suite can connect to form one very large unit.

About the Neighborhood
The Puesta del Sol location is very walkable to the village, various restaurants, shops and entertainment.
You can easily walk to the main heart of the village in 7 mins. There are popular places to eat even closer. To get to the north end of the Troncones beach is about 2 kilometers. Taxis are easy to come by, there are also bicycle rentals, surfboard rentals and ATVs.
