Santa Teresa is a small beach town located in the province of Puntarenas on the southern tip of the Nicoya Peninsula in Costa Rica. Mostly recognized as an eco-tourism and surf destination, the area offers a variety of adventures and activities for all kinds of travelers from around the world. Enjoy the miles of pristine white sand beaches, jungle and wildlife that will captivate you. With its consistent surf breaks, outdoor activities, amazing restaurants and award-winning beaches, Santa Teresa has become a top destination for surfers and eco-travelers.
Also known as Rocamar. Suck Rock is a powerful and crumbly, sometimes barreling, short to normal right point break. The break works well at all tides, but it is best at low tide. This is easily considered a local favorite and one of the best waves along the beach. Shortboards, bodyboards, and funboards are all good here. Consistency is year-round.
