Villa de Los Mangos is a newly constructed home adjacent to the world famous Saladita surf break at Playa La Saladita. We are situated along the Costa Grande of the Mexican state of Guerrero. Saladita is a stunningly secluded beach 25 miles north of the fishing village Zihuatanejo. We invite you to take a surf vacation in this tropical Mexican rural hideout languishing by the mango shaped swimming pool, strolling along the miles long stretches of impressively sequestered beaches and challenging the amazingly consistent now acknowledged world renowned peeling point left Saladita surf break. Villa de Los Mangos is a structurally unique, aesthetically designed Mexican estate by the locally distinguished architect Brayant Eduardo Amezquita Torres.
Unique to the original artistry of our home are open high pitched pine ceilings punctuated with extraordinary palm wood beams and a specially designed one of a kind floating spiral staircase that ascends to a loft and ultimately to a 3rd story terrace with sweeping views of the crystalline coastline and ocean, neighboring palm forest and peeks of the majestic Sierra Madre del Sur mountain range over the tops of our mango tree orchard. The house is quite simply an architectural masterpiece. You have to visit it in person to appreciate its style and magnificence.
When not surfing, fishing or dining along the beach or shopping in Zihuatanejo or other beach activities relax your afternoons away in our high end hammock out front under an exquisitely designed palapa looking out toward the Pacific Ocean and over our tropical garden landscape, swimming pool and mountainous backdrop. Breathtaking. Additionally, barbecue at night or day with friends or family on our outdoor wood burning barbecue adjacent to the patio pool bar conveniently located for entertaining guests, serving drinks and small parties or dancing on the spacious Mexican tiled outdoor veranda.
Your stay at this 2 bedroom one giant loft, lovely villa is replete with all the amenities including high end Daikin A/C, two full baths, patio bar, TurboDrum LG washing machine, Whirlpool dryer, fully equipped kitchen with custom built in microwave, Whirlpool 5 burner gas stove, garbage disposal, separate full sized refrigerator and freezer, spacious walk-in pantry and more, comes with free daily maid service and pool and landscape maintenance.
Situated in the main living area lined with original, authentic Mexican artifacts is a sensational large historical mural painted by local artist Layla Torres from Morelia, Michoacan. The mural depicts a centuries old story and tradition prior to and at the time of the Spanish conquest entitled "La Danza de Los Viejitos" or the "The Dance of the old Wisdom Men" who traditionally danced at the Spring and Fall equinoxes in trance (with the help of Magic Mushrooms) to talk to the Dad and the Sun to request from them rain, knowledge and health for their sons and daughters living in mother earth. It is a delightful poetic rendition of a tradition that has evolved significantly over the 100s of years.
In addition to all of the above, Noe and Ari, my employees, love to cater to guests and will prepare authentic local Mexican cuisine custom to your individual tastes and desires whether that be vegan or vegetarian. They will prepare all varieties of meat dishes, local fresh fish including lobster, shrimp, ceviche or huachinango or mix mango smoothies or coconut nectar water straight from the coconuts as you wish. They do charge 100 pesos per person (about $5.00 USD) per meal plus the cost of food. They also will do all of the shopping for you (on the house) or you can supply whatever you would like them to prepare.
Playa La Saladita is located a little over 2 miles down a paved road from a third world village Los Llanos which is just off the main highway. Our neighborhood and surroundings are very rural (pastoral) with only dirt roads in the immediate vicinity. We are only one of three houses all located one lot from the beach. On my immediate left (south) is a gorgeous palm forest and to my right (north) a vacant lot. To my rear lies a large lagoon and then basically mango groves and dirt roads. A short minute walk from our front gate is the public access to the beach. One can walk along the beach (about 10 minutes) or drive to the best paddle out spot to the point. There are multiple beach restaurants located in both directions all within 5 to 15 minutes walking along the beach. One strictly does not need a vehicle to get around and there are taxis available whenever needed. However, many people choose to rent a vehicle at the airport and so have their own access to other towns and surf spots.
Also known as Ubilam, or Malibu spelled backwards. La Saladita, the Wave Machine, is a mellow and crumbly left reef/point break. Saladita surf sessions offer long rides, good vibes, and beautiful surroundings. Waves here are a goofy foot longboarder's dream. Consistency is year-round with best conditions during summer.
