Villas Jacqueline is a beautiful compound of three beachfront villas perfect for large groups, families with children and most of all, surfers. It is the first choice for surfers because of the comfort they provide as well as their proximity to the break.
Villa Sur is right on the beach and you can check the surf from bed—it's that close! It has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and a large dining room and kitchen area, as well as ocean views from both the dining room and the front bedroom, and there's WiFi throughout.
When you enter the villa you'll find yourself in the vestibule area with a large couch for relaxing. From here you'll enter the large dining room which has views onto the ocean and beachfront area and a table that seats 6.
The kitchen which seamlessly connects with the dining room has ample countertops for meal prep and offers views onto the garden and boatyard next door over the kitchen sink. There is a large refrigerator/freezer, 4 burner gas stove, coffeemaker, blender and filtered water is provided. There are also plenty of dishes, utensils and pots and pans.
Off the vestibule you'll also find the bedrooms and bathroom. The front bedroom
has a king size bed and a twin bed, as well as a dresser/vanity and built in closet for plenty of storage. There is also A/C and a ceiling fan.
Next door is the full bathroom which has a sink, toilet and standing shower with hot water.
After that is the back bedroom which has two full size beds, A/C, ceiling fan, and built in closet and dresser/vanity. There are two windows, one on either side of the room for great cross ventilation with views of the garden.
Out front you'll enjoy the large porch for relaxing in the hammock and watching the waves, and your own outdoor shower for rinsing off after surfing. There are also board racks to use.
You'll enjoy the shared communal beachfront with many chaise lounges, tables and chairs and hammocks to relax. When you're not surfing, post up here to spy waves from the shore. In summertime you can even surf right out front with the high swells!
Jacqueline's villas are a true gem and the warm hospitality that she and her staff provides will make you feel right at home!
La Saladita is a sleepy little surf village where you can walk most anywhere barefoot, and besides surfing there's not much to do but relax and swing in a hammock. There's a very small community of locals and expats who call Saladita home, and there's a continual flow of visitors that return year after year to Saladita for its consistent year round surf. There are 5 beachfront restaurants, most shutter by dark with the exception of Lourdes' Bar & Grill which is open until 9:30pm. The latter accepts credit cards, while most of the village only accepts cash.
There's no need for a vehicle here, unless of course you want to explore the nearby town of Troncones which is 25 minutes to the south, or other surf breaks like the Ranch and Palo Alto, which are about 30 to 45 minutes driving to the north.
There are local taxis that can take you anywhere you need to go. You can find a driver at Lourdes' Surf Shop where they tend to hang out.
The closest town is Los Llanos where there are a few small grocery stores and an ATM. There are also multiple tacos stands and rotisserie chicken restaurants, should you tire of the fare on the beach. Los Llanos is about 10 minutes inland from the beach.
There's a small grocery store at Tortas & Mariscos Kevin, on the road just before you arrive to the beach that offers simple grocery items as well as fresh baked bread in the mornings.
Also known as Ubilam, or Malibu spelled backwards. La Saladita, the Wave Machine, is a mellow and crumbly left reef/point break. Saladita surf sessions offer long rides, good vibes, and beautiful surroundings. Waves here are a goofy foot longboarder's dream. Consistency is year-round with best conditions during summer.
